THE REPAIR PROCESS
We use very advanced computer controlled dark infrared rework equipment, this allows us to repair the LOGIC BOARD under the best conditions without damaging other components (including plastics) on the LOGIC BOARD. We troubleshoot these problems by replacing the lead free solder with lead based solder afterwards we clean all the dust that accumulates in the fan and heat sink (this prevents the laptop from cooling itself). We then use Arctic Cooling thermal compounds to help disperse the heat.
The repair process will take between 2 to 3 working days . In this time your laptop will be repaired and stress tested. Once your system is stable, your laptop will be dispatched to you in perfect working order!
THE REASON WHY
Since 2006 Apple MacBook Pro's have developed faults with the ATi X1600 and nVidia 8600M GT graphics chips. Most of the problems are related to heat issues, as the laptop is turned on and off, the graphic chip goes through cycles of heating up and cooling down. As the graphic chip heats up and cools down, the lead free solder between the graphic chip and the motherboard becomes brittle and eventually fractures. The picture below has been magnified many hundreds of times and illustrates what actually happens.
